Introduction

   The SVELTE ultrasound system provides a revolutionary new treatment to get rid of unwanted fat on your abdomen, flanks and thighs.  It is also extremely effective in reducing cellulite.

 How does it work?

   The gentle heating action of ultrasound breaks down and melts the fat, releasing it from the fat cells into the bloodstream so that it can be removed by the body's natural waste process.  The process is most effective if the treatment is followed by gentle exercise as this ensures that the fat is removed.

How is the treatment carried out?

   A thin layer of gel is applied and the ultrasound plates are strapped to the area to be treated.  The treatment normally last about 20 minutes.

Am I suitable for treatment?

    If you are generally healthy, not excessively overweight and do not suffer from any skin diseases or infections in the treatment area, the SVELTE can help you to re-contour your body.

How does the treatment feel?

   Treatment is not painful - most people merely feel a mild tingling sensation.

What should I expect after after treatment?

    The benefits are progressive.  Normal activities can proceed immediately and no special aftercare is required.  The system works best if moderate exercise is undertaken within a couple of hours of each treatment as this increases the efficiency of the removal of fat.  Since the lymph system is stimulated by this procedure, it is important to drink plenty of water every day during treatment in order to help the removal of toxins.

How many treatments are necessary?

    A course of 10 to 15 treatments is often recommended and two treatments a week can be carried out.  In the case of stubborn cellulite, additional treatments may be required and periodic maintenance sessions are strongly recommended.

Are there any side-effects?

    There is a minor risk of mild bruising of the skin.
